JAMES MUNROE FORREST James Munroe passed away in hospital on February 29, 2000. At Christmas his family had gathered in Winnipeg to celebrate his 70th birthday and 50th wedding anniversary with his loving wife Edna. He is survived also by his mother Pearl Forrest. He was justifiably proud of the accomplishments of his son Gregory of Calgary, and daughters, Valerie and Sandra; and grandchildren, Mercedes, Adam and Owen, all of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his father in 1965 and his grandson Andrew in 1999. Jim was a Mason for more than 30 years and a devoted organizer of the Shrine Temple Bands for over 20 years, especially after his early retirement after 25 years at the C.N.R. in Winnipeg. His death was a shock to those who knew his larger than life personality, quick smile and friendliness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 1:30 at the Shrine Temple, 529 Wellington Cres., with Pastor Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, care of 529 Wellington Crescent.
