Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMINNIE RICE (nee GREENBERG) On March 9, 2000, following a brief illness, Minnie Rice passed away at the Victoria General Hospital. Minnie will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Debbie and son-in-law Don Marchant. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Magistrate Isaac Rice Q.C. in 1969; her brothers, Louis, Sol, Hymie and Abe and sister Rose Rosen. Minnie was a sincere, forgiving and unpretentious woman. Despite her age, she kept pace with the changing times and had an especially keen interest in current events and world politics. Minnies greatest source of pride and joy was her cottage at Whytewold where she was fortunate enough to spend 45 summers. It was there that she derived her greatest peace, and fondest memories. She was a long-standing member of the National Council of Jewish Women. Debbie and Don gratefully acknowledge Dr. P. K. Athikari for the outstanding care and compassion shown to Minnie over the years, the staff of the Victoria General Hospital Unit 5, and her home care providers. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the Rosh Pina Synagogue, 123 Matheson Ave. E., with interment at the Shaarey Zedak Cemetery, 230 Armstrong Ave., West Kildonan, Rabbi Alan Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations to charity of your choice would be appreciated.
