Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH A. MATHESON Private family services were held for Joseph Allan Al Matheson of Ferndale, WA. Mr. Matheson died Sunday, December 12, 1999, at Lynden Christian Health Care. He was 83. Born May 10, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, he had been a Whatcom County resident since 1952. Mr. Matheson served in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp. during the Second World War. Before moving to Whatcom County he worked for Eatons of Canada for 20 years. He later worked for Sears Roebuck Co. of Bellingham for 18 years and retired in 1972. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and following hockey. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Helen, of the family home, daughters Joan Kudsk of Custer and Phyllis Munday of Everson; son Kelvin Matheson of Sedro-Woolley; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
