Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN JOHN CONNON Late of Calgary, Alta., born February 22, 1919 in Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2000. Predeceased by precious daughter Janice Merle Johnstone; sister Jean Foster; brothers, Jim and Gordon. He is lovingly remembered by wife Joanne; son Brian (Sandra) of Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Cheryl and Dean Johnstone, Derek, Karen and Mandy Connon; sisters, Alice Hancharyk, Hazel Mulvaney and Margaret Evans; brothers, Bill, Frank and Tom; step-daughter Ilona Elliott (Ken) son-in-law Jerry Johnstone (Janice) and many nieces and nephews throughout Canada. Al spent 30 rewarding years at Trans-Canada Airlines and Air Canada and left at 55 years of age to enjoy a long retirement in B.C. and Alberta. He was an avid fisherman, camper and birder. Als unfailing enthusiasm for life and his wry sense of humour will be missed by his loved ones and friends. In respect of Als wishes, there will be no service. He donated his body to the University of Calgary for anatomical study and his ashes will be scattered by the family at some of the wild outdoor places he loved best.
