Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryINGVALD LENHART (ED) JORDHEIM On March 10, 2000, after a lengthy illness, at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, Man., Ed Jordheim, aged 83 years, formerly of Inwood, Man. Ed was born in Lier, Norway, on February 4, 1917. He immigrated to Canada with his parents and brother Olaf in 1919. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Olaf of Calgary, William (Verna) of St. Andrews, Norman (Ingrid) of Selkirk, Lilly (McCarthy), Irene Olson, Marjorie Fox, Alice (Roy) Plumptre of Teulon, Alma (Herman) Olsen of Inwood, Violet (Gerry) Barker of Vancouver; sister-in-law Freida Jorheim and brother-in-law Norman Olson of Inwood. He was predeceased by his father in 1953, mother in 1992, brothers, Clarence in 1991, Bert in 1993 and sister Betty in 1997. Ed enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1941 and was sent to Europe. He was stationed in England, Holland, France, Germany and Belgium, returning to Canada in 1945. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Hodgson Branch #158. He was a journeyman carpenter by trade, retiring in 1976 to live with his mother on the family farm north of Inwood. In 1992 he moved to Teulon to live in a seniors complex. The family would like to thank Dr. Kerr Graham and the staff at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, and the homecare workers at Gateway Manor for the excellent care and compassion given to Ed. At Eds request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m., at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Inwood, Rev. Barry Rasmussen will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be, Charles Barnes, Elmer and Cecil Pagard, Larry Torske and Joe Wirgau. Legion rites at the service. Interment will follow in the Inwood Community Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Eds memory may be made to the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, Man., R0C 3B0, or a charity of their choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, in care of arrangements.
