Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH ROLFE MUSTARD May 5, 1907 - March 11, 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and great-uncle Joseph Rolfe Mustard on Saturday, March 11, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ramona Jean Campbell (Lyle) Mustard; his children, Robert and his wife Dolly, Bonnie and her husband Don Phelps, Laurie and his wife Marly, and Lynne and her husband Bill Cordray; his grandchildren, Tom, Shawn, Mona and her husband Steve Corrigal, Michele and her husband Garth Campbell, Heather, Andrea, Lyle and his great-grandchildren, Ashley, Sean, Terri-Lynne, Megan, Eric, Sarah and many nieces and nephews. Joe was born on a homestead outside of Killarney, Man., one of ten siblings, all of whom predeceased him. During the Depression, he worked for CP Rail as a brakeman. From 1935 to 1939, he ran the general store at Lyleton, Man., where he met Ramona and married her on July 8, 1936. >From the onset of the Second World War, Joe worked out of Port Arthur/Fort William as production manager at Canadian Car building Hawker Hurricanes. Joe, Mona and family then moved to Dauphin where he worked for the Wartime Prices and Trade Board as an investigator, serving central and northern Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan. After the war, he returned to Killarney to run his own business from 1946 to 1956. At this point, the family moved to Winnipeg where Joe was involved in industrial sales with Ashdowns from 1956 to 1974. In his retirement years back in Killarney, Joe enjoyed golfing, curling, gardening and his "mile-long" walks everyday. Highlights included a trip to Hawaii, trips to Florida and many family visits to Toronto and Vancouver. The focus of his life was his family and his greatest joy was family gatherings. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Victoria General ICU. Your kindness and caring were immeasurable in making this difficult time easier. Interment has taken place in Killarney. Memorial service is to be held on Tuesday, March 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. We love you, Dad. Thank you for the great life and memories. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
