ROSE EVA JULIA MARY BROWN It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing, on March 9, 2000, at the Grace Hospital, of Rose Eva Julia Brown, age 87 years, of the Lundar Personal Care Home, formerly of Eriksdale, Man. Eva was born in Alida, Sask. in 1913, to parents Celina and Eli Wilcott. In 1934 she married Donald Brown, and together they farmed in the Parkview District for many years. Eva was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will always be remembered for her laughter. Her happiest moments were tapping her toe to a lively fiddle tune, gardening and knitting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and made the best doughnuts and soup (which will always be remembered by Ron) and gravy (which will always be remembered by Keith). Other peoples happiness always came first. She took each day as it came, always with a smile, and she never complained. She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving husband Donald; sons, Raymond (Lucianne), Art (Brenda) daughters, Rose (Phil) Leitold, Jean (Ron) Heroux; grandchildren, Keith (Theresa), Kevin (Dawn), Michelle (Ryan), Pam, Eleanor, Richard, Floyd, Chad, Michael, Rachelle (Jody) and Nicole (Jeff) also six great-grandchildren; a brother Victor of Pine Falls; two sisters, Edna and Emma and sister-in-law Christine. She was predeceased by her parents, son Richard, brothers, Bill, Fred, Arthur, Paul and Andrew and a sister Marie. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at 2:00 p.m., in the Eriksdale Recreational Centre, with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in St. Cuthberts Cemetery (Lily Bay North). A luncheon will follow at the hall. Honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren. Many thanks to the staff at the Lundar Personal Care Home who, for the past seven years, made Mom a place that she was proud to call home. Thanks to Dr. Steyn and hospital staff at the Eriksdale Hospital, ambulance attendants and staff at the Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lundar Personal Care Home Guild, Box 296, Lundar, Man., R0C 1Y0. Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd. in care of arrangements Ashern - Lundar (204) 768-2072
