WILLIAM (BILL) KACHOR After a brief illness, Bill passed away at Selkirk General Hospital on Sunday, March 12, 2000. He was predeceased by his wife Flora in 1999; son Kenneth in 1989; his parents; sisters, Anne, Kay, Jean and Ruth, brothers, John, Joe, and Pete. His daughters, Frances, Lorraine (Lucky) and son Ralph (Pat) daughter-in-law Betty survive him; also his grandchildren, Chris, Brent (Nancy), Bryan, Devon, Jeff (Leanne), Jennifer, Jody, Scott and Jackie; great-grandchildren, Brody, Brooke Lynn and Alyssa; sisters, Mary and Emily; numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Hilbre in 1914; he married Flora Clark in 1941. He farmed and drove the school bus in the area for many years before moving to Hilbre in 1969, where they lived for 23 years. Bill and Flora moved to Ashern in 1993 where they resided until 1999. The family would like to thank Dr. N.E. Antonenko and the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their kindness. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, March 20 at the Hilbre Gospel Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Doug Reader and Bernie Rist officiating. Reception to follow at the Chapel Hall. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
