EILEEN McGHEE Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Eileen McGhee passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, March 13, 2000 at the age of 72 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Julia Jones; her brothers, Bill, Peter and Bob. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Ray; her children, daughter Carol and her husband Bob Hunter, son Rick McGhee, daughter Diana McGhee and four grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Elsie and her husband Terry Adkins; her sisters-in-law, Dorrie Jones, Lou Jones and many nieces and nephews. Eileen was a member of the Winnipeg Service Battalion as a Private and eventually a 2nd Lieutenant. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint). A time of fellowship will follow in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
