Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS YELINEK (nee POSHTAR) Peacefully, on March 14, 2000 at the Red River Place Nursing Home in Selkirk, our beloved Mama and Grandma, with family and friends at her side, has left us to be with our Precious Lord Jesus Christ, at the age of 85 years. Doris was born in Arbakka, MB on December 1, 1914 to the late Stephen and Marie Poshtar. She later moved to Winnipeg, where she met and married her late husband Samuel. They moved to Stony Mountain and farmed together until retirement. Doris also worked for Tan Jay for ten years. Mama also loved her raccoons, garden, flowers, knitting and she loved her family. Mama also loved spending time riding on the Prairie Dog, but her greatest love was for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and we thank you Mama for being such a testimony for your family. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel, February 12, 1981 and one infant daughter. Doris is survived by her sons Fred (Marie) and Stanley; two daughters Anna (Bob) and Marie; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6:30-7:30 p.m.on Friday, March 17 at the MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service on Saturday, March 18 which will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Grace Baptist Church, 321 Sophia St., Selkirk, MB, Pastor Jeff Goudy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Christ Church Cemetery, Stony Mountain, MB. Friends who so desire may make donations to the Gideon Bible Society. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at the Red River Place Nursing Home, Selkirk Hospital and the Seven Oaks Hospital, Dr. Lindenschmidt and Dr. Demsus who provided such caring and compassionate care for Mama.
