JOHN ALBERT GRIFFITH (AL), (JACK) The family is sad to announce the sudden passing of John Albert Griffith on March 13, 2000, beloved husband of Therese at the age of 78 years. Al is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Therese; his children, Patricia and her daughter Andrea of Toronto; Joan (Brian) and their children; Kelsey, Joshua and Lauren of St. Andrews; Don (Heather) and their children, Scott, Sarah, Rebecca, Zachary and Eli of Saskatoon; and Rick of LArche Homes, Transcona. He was predeceased by both parents and his siblings. Al was born and raised in Kenora, Ont. but settled in Winnipeg, where his heart was captured by a cute little nurse, Terry. Dad was a dedicated employee with Bristol Aerospace until his retirement 14 years ago. Al was a very sociable person. He enjoyed and appreciated the many friendships he developed over the years through the Knights of Columbus, Holy Cross Parish, the Dubuc "Social Club" and more recently at Place Des Meurons. He loved nature and was quick with a joke or two and had a wonderful zest for life. Al was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. We will miss you Dad. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross R.C. Church, 252 Dubuc St. with Father James Gray presiding. Viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until time of Mass. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined.
