Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY " DOUGLAS " LYNDON Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, March 14, 2000, Harry Douglas Lyndon passed away in Regina, Saskatchewan, at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his daughter Leslie (Gerry) Filby, and their children, Douglas, Rheanne, Adam, David and Spencer. He is also survived by his brother Ron (Margaret), Mervyn (Joyce) step-mother Charlotte Lyndon and sister-in-law Laurie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Douglas was predeceased by his loving wife Phyllis; parents, Ethel and Harry Lyndon, and brother William. Douglas was born in Winnipeg on August 21, 1921. He served with the Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry in England, Sicily and Italy, where he was wounded in action. He was also a member of the Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario P.P.C.L.I. Association. Douglas lived in Wildwood park for many years, until his illness forced him to move to Regina to live with his daughter and family. He had many fond memories of the Wildwood neighbourhood. Prior to retirement, Douglas was a long time employee of the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission. In keeping with Douglass wishes, cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street, at Chevrier Blvd. Urn placement to follow in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7, or a charity of ones choice.
