KATARZYNA MAZUR (nee JUREK) With sad hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at home with her family at her side. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Katarzyna will be lovingly remembered in our hearts and forever missed by Stefan, her husband of 51 years; her daughter Stanislawa Machura (Gerry) in Langley, B.C.; her son Richard (Astrid) Mazur and her son John Mazur; grandchildren, Michael and Kendra Mazur and Kimberley (James) Racanelli and her special great-grandson Keegan Mazur, as well as friends here and relatives in Poland. Born April 18, 1925 in Zelonka, Poland, Katarzyna met and married Dad in Germany after the war. She came to Canada in 1953 and has lived in Winnipeg 47 years. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was always sincere, forgiving, unpretentious and never came empty handed. She loved her children and grandchildren and great grandson and they held a very special place in her heart. She was a devoted member of Holy Ghost Parish for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Wpg. Man., R3C 2B7. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 17 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Sleep peacefully, dearest Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother - We love you. Wieczny odpoczynek racz jej dac Panie You were always there when we needed you No task was too great or small, With a loving heart and a willing hand, For us you did them all. Thanks for the years you gave us, And all the times we shared, We know that when you left us, You knew how much we cared. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you And whispered Come to Me. And when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044
