Olive was born May 1, 1924 near Carlyle, Saskatchewan. She grew up in a happy family in the Brady farm house which was built by her grandfather in 1904. Olive married Melville McKillop on January 1, 1946 and spent the next twenty years traveling across Canada while Mel served in the R.C.A.F. She raised four daughters and after they were grown she was employed by the D.N.D. Olive has resided in St. James for nearly forty years. In their 42 years together, Mel and Olive had a strong and special relationship. Olives life revolved around her family yet she cherished the time she spent with her special friends. Olive was a member of Sturgeon Creek United Church and participated in the U.C.W. group where she enjoyed the fellowship of her church family. A special thanks to Dr. W.C. Schellenberg for his very kind care and attention which allowed us to keep Mom comfortably in her own home.
