ALMA BOGAERT Alma Bogaert (nee ) peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at the Foyer Notre Dame, Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba at the age of 93 years, beloved wife of the late Emiel Bogaert. Alma came to Canada with her parents Evariest and Elodie, her sister and brother. On June 21, 1928 married Emiel Bogaert and resided in St. Boniface where their daughter Margaret was born. They moved to Bruxelles where George and Marcel were born and later retired in Holland, Man. Alma was predeceased by her loving husband Emiel in 1978, one son in infancy, son-in-law, Marcel Carels, parents, Evariest and Elodie Cnudde, sister, Rena and husband Robert Michiels and brother, August and wife Anne Cnudde. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory, three children, Margaret and her children, Connie (Dale), David (Susan), Betty Lynn (Tim) son George and wife Evelyn and their son Brian; son Marcel and wife Mary Jane, their children, Melinda (Dale), Bonita (Ralph), Rodney (Lucienne), Gail (Mike), and 13 great-grandchildren. Prayers will said from the Budz Funeral Chapel, Holland, on Friday, March 17 at 8:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Firmin Michiels from the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, on Saturday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. John Berchmans Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Almas memory to the Foyer Notre Dame, Notre Dame de Lourdes, Man., R0G 1M0, to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, Man., R3E 0V9 or to a charity of ones choice.
