EMANUEL (MANNY) SCHINKEL Peacefully, on March 15, 2000, Manny Schinkel passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Manny will be sadly missed by his wife Jerry; his daughter Winona and her husband Wilfred Kling; two grandchildren Alex and Jordan Kling; one sister Adina Sobering as well as many nieces and nephews. Manny was born September 20, 1916 at Steinbach, Man. to Christina (Froelich) and Gottlieb Schinkel. As a young many he worked on a farm near Arnaud, Man., later he came to Winnipeg and worked for Dominion Sound Equipment, Northern Electric, D. Phillips Accoustics and McDowell Electric. Manny belonged to Empire Lodge #127 and to the Royal Arch Masons. He was a past Associate Guardian of Bethel #3 of the International Order of Jobs Daughters, past Master of Norwood Lodge of the Royal Arch and Grand Secretary to the Grand Lodge of Royal Arch Masons. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 17 at Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford St. A reception will follow at the church.
