GABRIELLE (GAY) SHAW Peacefully after a lengthy illness Gay passed away on Friday March 17, 2000 at the Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her five brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 56 years, David. Her son Gordon; two grandsons, Nathaniel and Matthew; sisters, Yvette and Margot; sister-in-law Irene as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Gay was very active in sports and enjoyed time spent in her garden with her flowers. Gay loved to travel and really enjoyed the many trips she got to take with her husband and best friend David. Most memorable were their trips to Australia and Scotland where they will never forget the T.V. repair shop they saw called "Tely on the Blink". As well as trips with Yvette to P.E.I. Gay loved to curl and lawn bowl and she was a past president of the Elmwood Curling Club as well as a longtime member of St. Johns Lawn bowling. At Gays request no formal service will be held and a gathering of friends will take place on Tuesday March 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gays memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olive Street R3E 9Z9. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
