Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIRKO LOVOSEVIC After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mirko passed away peacefully on March 18, 2000 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mirko has gone to join his beloved wife Stana who predeceased him in 1997. He was also predeceased by his sister Julka. He will be sadly missed by his children, Marie (Tony), Mate (Linda) and Mandy (fiance Ron) and grandchildren, George and John. He also leaves to mourn his sister Mandy (Mate) his other siblings in Croatia, Franjo, Reza and Ana and their extended families. He also leaves many special friends and other extended family. Mirko came to Canada from Croatia in 1972 and was joined by his family one year later. He was a longtime member and devoted parishioner of the Croatian Catholic Church of St. Nicholas Tavelich. Mirkos family would like to thank all the nurses and staff on the fifth floor, unit 1 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. If friends so desire, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 2B7. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the Croatian Catholic Church of St. Nicholas Tavelich (2688 Main St.). The funeral mass will also be celebrated at the church on Wednesday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Garden of Christ the Redeemer at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends to follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be Branko Gospic, Stipe Jokic, Joso Zizic, Bosko Andjelic, George Jokic and John Jokic.
