Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA SELINA BLAIR Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 15, 2000 in her 105th year. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Elizabeth Medland (Winnipeg) and Barbara Williams (Australia) grandchildren, Margot Christie, Leslie Klass, Caroline Josephson, Maryanne Bruce, Christopher Medland, Wendy Josephson, and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband John (Jack) McCuaig Blair predeceased her in 1974. Anna was born in Winnipeg in 1895. She taught school in Winnipeg and Vancouver, prior to being married in 1922. Anna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed many friendships involving people of all generations. Anna was a committed member of St. Andrews River Heights United Church and was honored by the formation of a Womens Auxiliary group established in her name. Anna had a long happy life and enjoyed many overseas travels associated with her husbands dedication to the game of golf. Anna found great joy in life and had the gift of making those around her feel loved and of special importance. She was a spirited and independent lady and lived in her own home until well into her 100th year. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20th at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Andrews River Heights United Church, corner of Kingsway and Oak. The family is most grateful to the staff of the Convalescent Home for the care and affection given to Mama Blair in her last few years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or St. Andrews United Church or the Residents Fund at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo Street N., Winnipeg, MB, R3M 2N6.
