ILONA SIVERI March 8, 1945 - March 15, 2000 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ilona Siveri, aged 55 years. Ilona was born in Yugoslavia and emigrated to Canada in 1973 with her family. She became a well loved, active member of her community here in Winnipeg. She leaves behind her husband, Andras; her two children, Valerie and Andy (Monique) her extended family in Yugoslavia; sisters Maria, Etel, Elizabeth, Piroska, her brother Ferencz, and their children and grandchildren; her extended family in Winnipeg, Frank and Veronica Szabo, Victoria Siveri, Rozalia Vicovac, Terez Siveri, and their children and grandchildren. Ilona will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched, especially her close friends, numbering many, whom she considered to be, and treated as her extended family. Prayers will be said on Sunday, March 19th at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 20th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Hungarian Church, 365 Burnell Ave. with Rev. Fr. Paul Hancko officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
