JOHN R. DANIELS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Daniels, age 82, on March 15, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital, beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. He will forever be loved and missed by his wife and friend of 60 years, Gwen (nee Payne) son, George Daniels (Edie) daughter Deed Lawless (Gary) grandchildren, Lori (David), Steven (Leanne), Leanne (Kelvin), and Alan (Marnie) beloved great-granddaughter Ivory; and granddogs, Bailey, Ryker, and Kateo. John will be fondly remembered for his gentle spirit by his sisters, many relatives, and good friends. John served in the Armed Forces from 1940 to 1945, then retired from the Hudson Bay Company after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 4 for 55 years, and enjoyed the activities of the Over 60 Club. His favourite pasttimes were cards, reading, music, and dancing. He was a "jack-of-all-trades" as evidenced by his activities at Twin Beaches. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with visitation one half hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Steve Daniels, Bill Hawley, Art Hosack, Alan Lawless, Kelvin Martyniuk, and Harold Onagi. Honorary Pallbearers are Henry Mace, Vic Martin, Bob Payne, and Les Robertson. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. We wish to thank Dr. Guzman and the staff of the SICU for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the MB Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, R3A 1P6. "We all love you. Goodbye Grandpa." Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
