A wonderful example and formative influence on her children, her grandchildren, her students and the members of the choirs she directed. A classics scholar and an original thinker, a musician and a debater, a faithful partner to her husband John for 40 years. She gave of herself and also gratefully received spiritual strength from her involvement in the Anglican Church and from Elmwood School in Ottawa where she taught for 17 years. Her wit, her music and especially her interest in young people are gifts gratefully received and sorely missed. Next of kin are Tony and Tim Harwood-Jones, Winnipeg; Janice McRae, Vienna, Austria; and Dawn, Chester, Nova Scotia; - and all their spouses, their children and grandchildren. One other son Patrick died in 1968. Funeral will take place Monday, March 20 at St. Georges Church, 168 Wilton St., Winnipeg, at 3:00 p.m. Flowers respectfully declined.
