MICHAEL DAVID HARLOCK On Monday, March 13, 2000, at the Grace General Hospital, Michael David Harlock passed away at the age of 55 years. Mike is survived by his wife Marlene of 31 years of marriage; brother Rick (Leslie), their daughters, Erin and Julie; sister-in-law Darlene Nelson (Les) niece Karen Komar; and by cousin-in-law Shelly Lepine. In 1967, Mike received his CA designation. His career led to adventures in Vancouver, then back to Winnipeg, where he was a partner with Wilson Caron (now Hatch Wilson) until his demise. Mike was a quiet, gentle, soft-spoken man with a subtle sense of humour. His greatest joy was spending summers at the lake. In his life, Mike was a very private person, and so shall he be in his death. No service will be held. As you ask, but what can I do to help, we answer: If Mikes kind nature and gentleness touched your life, pass it on. Perform an act of kindness each day without expectation of thanks or acknowledgement, but with joy in the doing. Should someone you see be too tired to give you a smile, may we ask you leave one of yours? It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and natures best antidote for trouble. For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give. Our family wish to thank Dr. Pat Harris, and staff in Oncology, and on the 3rd floor of Grace Hospital, for all their kindness. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jan Mulder who led us through the valley with compassion. Special thanks to Audrey Thompson for sharing her time to be with Mike these last few weeks. Thanks also to Mikes banana gal. To family and friends for their love and support, we are grateful. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or to a charity of ones choice. Mikes family has entrusted his arrangements to the care of: WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
