ROSE EMMA ROBERTSON (nee CARTER) Peacefully, on March 16, 2000, at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, Rose Emma Robertson passed away at the age of 95 years. Rose was born in London, England on April 15, 1904 immigrating to Canada in 1919 where she met and married Haldane on February 7, 1923 in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her brother George in 1910 and by her husband Haldane in 1979. To cherish her memory, Rose leaves a son Robert and his wife Gloria, Winnipeg; a daughter Betty and her husband Jack Gales, Calgary; four grandchildren, Velvet Duperreault, Edmonton, Shelley Skinner (Gordon), Calgary, Kerry Gales (Donna) Calgary, Kim Gales (Shelley), Calgary, and seven great-grandchildren, Ken, Jacey, Shane, Samantha, Trisha, Amanda and Matthew and many nieces, nephews and relatives. Rose enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. With her handiwork she has left her family and friends with many cherished momentos. She also enjoyed her time spent with friends at the Grey Street United Church Seniors Club. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for their kind and compassionate care. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, if so desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2 or Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, or a charity of choice. In accordance with Roses wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue.
