Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUZANNE MARIA WERSCHLER (Nee GAUTHIER) Suzanne Maria (Gauthier) Werschler passed away peacefully at her residence in the early morning on Tuesday, March 7, 2000. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Gary (Gail) Werschler; daughters, Denise (Ken) Checkowski and Lorraine (Garth) Meacham; grandsons, Bradley, Donald and Blair Werschler, Sean Checkowski, Jeffrey and Stephen Meacham; also one brother John (Martha) Gauthier of Kelowna, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband Paul (1980) and grandson Christoffer Meacham (1996). Suzanne was born on April 10, 1920 and grew up in St. Boniface with her parents Leo and Maria Gauthier. For many years the family worked together in their restaurant, The Waldorf Cafe. She was married on March 12, 1948 to Paul William Werschler of Winnipeg. Suzanne enjoyed life to its fullest, her kind and gentle ways and wonderful zest for life was appreciated by all who knew her. It was clear to all how much her family meant to her, it was easily seen in her radiant smile whenever she spoke of them. She was a beautiful, caring mother and grandmother who always said how blessed she was for such a wonderful family, but it was we who were blessed for having had you in our lives. We will love and cherish you always. A celebration of Suzannes life will take place on Tuesday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Christ Church (Anglican), 1735 Corydon Ave. with Rev. Murray Still officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend their thanks to Suzannes caregivers Lynn and Beatrice for their wonderful care and friendship for which she was most grateful. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzannes memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB., R3C 0S6.
