WILLIAM (BILL) NAZAR On Thursday, March 16, 2000, at the Portage District General Hospital, William (Bill) Nazar of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Anastasia (Nellie) Nazar, passed away at the age of 90 years. Prayers will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Monday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, Portage la Prairie, MB on Tuesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Deacon Michael Strelic officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery. Predeceased by his wife Nellie in 1989, daughter Audry in 1997, grandson Gregory Jackson in 1996, three brothers; Justin O.S.B.M., Harry and Alfred, sister Katie Richlark. He leaves to mourn his passing his son Dan and his wife Marilyn of Langruth; grandchildren, Peter and Jane; his daughter Patricia Piper of London, Ontario; grandson Robert and his wife Nancy; granddaughter Lorrie; daughter Alexandria and Edward (Ted) Jackson of Calgary; grandchildren, Bradley Collins, Jason Collins, Corrina and Hank Warner; great-grandson William Bradley; granddaughter Sheri Dawn Ludwigson and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers; George and Stella of Ontario; Metro and Olga of Toronto; Steve and Anne of Medicine Hat; Mike and Mary of Saskatoon; two sisters, Sister Mary Alexis Nazar S.S.M.I. of Lourdes, Frances, Anne and Bill Romanosky of Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Portage General Hospital Foundation, 524 5th Street S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8. The Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, MB, is in care of the arrangements.
