DEAN A. CROWE It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Dean Crowe, on Saturday, March 18, 2000. Left to mourn his death are his wife Wanda; two daughters, Michelle, her fiance Chad Andres, of Abbotsford, B.C., and Chantelle of Stonewall. Dean is also survived by one brother Robert (Marilyn) of Dauphin; two sisters, Heather (Rod Hart) of Carman, Noreen (Les Chudyk) of Winnipeg and a sister-in-law Kathy Crowe of Gilbert Plains; a mother- and father-in-law Ramona and Cliff Williamson of Grandview; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Williamson (Val) of Grandview, Dwight Williamson (Elsie Tanasichuk) of Winnipeg, Brent Williamson (Marge) of Swan River. Dean is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Dean was predeceased by daughter Denise (1979), father James (1972), mother Birda (1983), brother William (1999) and brother-in-law Lyall (1983). Dean was born on June 11, 1952, in Gilbert Plains and attended school there. The highlight of his high school years was playing football. He married Wanda Williamson on October 19, 1973. He worked for Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services in Dauphin for ten years, until they moved to Beausejour to manage Russell Funeral Home. In 1984 the family moved to Stonewall. He was a member of the Manitoba Funeral Service Association Executive for a number of years and was a past president. Dean was a member of the Stonewall Skating Club Executive and served as a director for the Manitoba section. He was presently a member of the Board of Administration for the Funeral Directors Act. Dean was a well known and active member of the community with a keen sense of humour and a love of horses. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. An evening prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Marc Whitehead and Rev. Mary Best will officiate. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Bruce Miles will officiate. Interment to follow in the Stonewall Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
