DORIS BROWN Doris Ruth Brown (nee Ulrich) went to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Friday, March 17, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Robert Brown, and her loving children, Melissa and Kevin; her parents, Hans and Annemarie Ulrich; her siblings, Peter (Margunde) Ulrich, Karin (Mike) Potratz, Viola (Rod) Giesbrecht, Armin (Joy) Ulrich; her grandmother Ella Ulrich; her husband, Roberts family, parents, John and Anna Brown of Hazelridge and siblings, Colleen Brown; Mark (Andrea) Brown, Doug (Carolyn) Brown; and Darlene (Mark) Typa. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Doris was a living example of Marthas sister, Mary in Luke 10:30b, "...who sat at the Lords feet listening to what he said." Doris always had time for people and an especially soft heart for the children in her life; her own children and their friends, her nieces and nephews, the children she babysat, her Awana children (especially Alana), and the children at the lunch program at Princess Margaret School. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Rowandale Baptist Church, 162 Rowandale Avenue. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 22 from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. and at the church prior to the service. Interment to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. Reception to follow at Rowandale Baptist Church. The family would like to extend their thanks to surgeons and health care teams on D2 and SICU at the Health Sciences Centre for the care provided to Doris and compassion shown to the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris memory to Lake Nutimik Camp or Rowandale Baptist Church for the Awana Kids Outreach Program or the church library. Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
