HENRY ARTHUR HAYS On Saturday, March 18, 2000, Mr. Henry Hays passed away in Peterborough, Ont. at the age of 89 years. Henry worked for many years at Anderson Bros. St. Vital Garage and in later years at Bristols Rockwood Plant from which he retired. He will be remembered as a loving and caring person by his family and friends. Henry was predeceased by his loving wife Emma in 1987; and is survived by a son Ron and wife Carol of Peterborough, Ont.; and two grandsons, Joe with his wife Lee of Greenbank, Ont.; and Michael of Toronto, Ont.; also two sisters, Jessie Finn of Vancouver, B.C. and Rita Taylor of Prince George, B.C.; and a brother Les of Thunder Bay, Ont.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Henry was born in Pendennis, Man., just outside of Rivers, Man. on September 20, 1910. Son of Arthur and Katherine Hays. He married Emma (nee Freer) in 1941 and moved to St. Vital where he resided until 1998 when he moved to Peterborough to be closer to his immediate family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23 in the Chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home. 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment in the Garden of Devotion at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Reception Centre.
