JOHN HORACE LONGSTAFFE November 19, 1913 - March 5, 2000 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Horace Longstaffe, at the age of 86 years, at St Josephs Residence. He was predeceased by his wife Molly on February 27, 1999. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Margo Middleton (Jack) of Pinawa, Man.; son Rick Longstaffe (Barb) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Lori Oxenforth (Ted), Sean Middleton, Derek Longstaffe; brother Robert Longstaffe (Betty) sister Ethel Johnson; sister-in-law Margaret Green, many nieces, nephews and friends. Horace was born and raised in Winnipeg and lived most of his life on St. Anthony Avenue in West Kildonan. He worked for Canada Post for 42 years until his retirement in 1978. He was an avid walker, curler and golfer. The family would like to thank the staff of St Josephs Residence for their care and compassion over the last several years. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue with Rev. Douglas Longstaffe officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
