MARY KOSTIUK (nee Follhoffer) Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with leukemia, Mary Kostiuk, age 45, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on March 18, 2000. She is survived by her common-law partner Lloyd Stack; son Michael and the father of her son, Todd Kostiuk; her parents Ed and Kay Follhoffer; her sister Kate (Don) Danners and their children, Dave and Jill; her brother Erwin (Ellie) Follhoffer and their son Karl, mother-in-law Kay Storozuk; sister-in-law Joanne Prokopow and her children, Michael and David. Mary spent her spare time enjoying small pleasures such as window shopping, going to the park and enjoying nature. She took great pride in her immaculate housekeeping skills and loved to prepare meals for her family. There was also another pastime that she enjoyed doing, which was her love of flowers especially her love of roses. She also liked to prepare floral arrangements, either real or artificial. She also loved dogs and cats. Mary raised her son Michael to become a fine young man. Thank you to all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre who looked after Mary in her time of illness. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
