Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN ADAM GOTTFRIED November 2, 1925 - March 20, 2000 It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Allan Adam Gottfried on March 20, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital. Allan will be forever loved and missed by his beloved wife of 29 years Darlene; his daughters Brenda Drobot, Wendy Larche, Shirley (Frank) Hryclik, and Kim Gottfried (Rick Nenka) grandchildren Leah, Jason and Dayna Drobot, Kristina, Michael, Chris, Justin, and Darryl Larche, Shawn and Ryan Hryclik, Chelsea, Stephen, and Brittany Gottfried, and Tyler Nenka; great-grandchildren Jamie Allan Larche and Cory Gene Drobot; sisters Jean Coutts, Agnes (Tony) Barchuk, Bernice Lash, and Gail (Gordon) Kosowich; brother Hillary Gottfried; numerous nieces and nephews; long time friends Pauline and Murray Marzoffs, and many other dear friends. Allan was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Frank, brothers Gerald and Norbert, and his mother-in-law Erna Adams. Allan retired from Chicago Blower at the age of 55 due to medical problems. He and Darlene kept very busy with their many foster children. Allan loved camping at The Oasis, and later at Patricia Beach. He always liked to work on all of his own vehicles, and if something didnt work, he would fix it so that it would. He was always on the go, doing one thing or another. He had fought a courageous battle with cancer, which we thought was finally won, but last year it flared up again. Many thanks to the doctors and staff of the palliative care unit at St. Boniface Hospital. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1456 Arlington at Manitoba Ave. Pastor Rolf Nosterud officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler at Henderson 668 - 3151

This was my father, a great man who came from humble beginnings to go on and have a successful welding career and raise not only his own children but was a foster parent for over 20 years. I will never forget all the values and morals you taught me. I miss you so much, you gave me the backbone I have today and I hope you're resting easy with all your loved ones. Rest easy, Dad, until we meet again. Love your Daughter and family. - Posted by: Kim Gottfried (Daughter ) on: Mar 26, 2016
