Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE SYBIL BOWACK It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Myrtle Sybil Bowack on Sunday, March 19, 2000 in Kenora, ON, with family by her side. Myrtle was born in Transcona December 26, 1919. She is predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Hilda Dunnett; brothers, Bill and Jack, and sister Doris Bower. Myrtle was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband John of 56 years; daughters, Linda Ranger (Al), Joyce Simpkin (Terry) grandchildren, Jeff Olafson (Kristen), Kristopher Olafson (Bridgitte), Kerri Simpkin, and her great-grandchildren, Jerrika, Ryan and Braedyn. She is also survived by her sister Grace Moon (Art) and numerous relatives and friends. In her youth, she was a competitive swimmer and speed skater and an avid armchair athlete in her later years. Grandma was famous for her butter tarts and pecan shortbread. Myrtle was a gentle and loving person who was always ready with warm hugs and kind words. Mom could turn a frown to a smile, a seed to a flower and a cloud to a sunshine ray. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Pallbearers will be Terry Simpkin, Al Ranger, Jeff and Kris Olafson, Neil Edison and Paul Tustin. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 at the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, Envoy Clinton Stagg (R) officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of your choice.
