CASMIR EDWARD HOLIGROSKI (CAZIMIR HOLIGROCKI) Casmir died peacefully on March 21, 2000, surrounded by his family. He was born March 30, 1936 at St. Clements, with his Grandma Leshko as midwife. He was the much loved husband of Florence, father of Heather (Rick) Witherden and Craig M. Holigroski. Gido will be sadly missed by his three grandsons, Avery (4), Harris and Stuart (9 months). He is survived by his mother Teenie Soloway; brothers and sisters, Julian (Lynette), Joe, Dan (Alice), Gladys (Dwight Sopiwnyk), Elsie, Lawrence (Karen), Clarence (Alice), Rudy (Bev), and their families; aunts, uncles and cousins. His family and friends were very important to him. He was predeceased by his father Willie. He is also survived by Florences family, Fjola (Harley Davidson), Bob (Alice), Einar, Evelyn and their families. Casmir was proud of his Ukrainian heritage and spent hours at the Provincial Archives gathering information. He was employed by Canada Packers for 30 years as a butcher and millwright. Since 1988 he worked at Motor Coach Industries. A memorial service will take place in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Friday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Peter Douglas of St. Vital United Church officiating. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
