JAMES RODERICK CHARTRAND It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our father, James Roderick Chartrand on Tuesday, March 21, 2000 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital with his family members at his bedside. Jim was born on October 16, 1915 in Camperville, MB. Jim leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his loving wife Edna, sons; Louis (Delores), Robert, Donald, James Jr. (Sherri), and daughters; Marlene (Gerald), Anita, Shirley (Norman) Sinclair, Cheryl (Paul) Chartrand. Jim leaves one brother Elzear Chartrand, also 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim was predeceased by his parents Jean Baptiste, and Elizabeth ( nee Richard) Chartrand, seven daughters, a son Larry, three brothers, four sisters and a great-grandchild Levi. "To love a Dad and then to part, Is the greatest trial of the human heart. God in heaven, hear our prayer. Guard our Father with tender care, Be a Good Shepherd, dont leave him alone, Love him as we love him, When he was at home". Prayers and wake services will be held on Sunday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 794 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, with Fr. Robert Bernardin officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Kirton, Gregg Chartrand, Lawrence Chartrand, James Grant, Larry Nepinak, and Dave Stubbert. Honorary pallbearers are Stephanie Sinclair, Jessica Chartrand, Eleanor Chartrand, Robin Grant, and Luella Lavallee. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Holy Family Nursing Home, 5th floor, and also to the doctors and nurses of 5th floor unit 5, at Seven Oaks General Hospital for the care and compassion given to our father.
