Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD NICHOLAS JERRIS It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Richard Jerris on Sunday, March 19, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 55 years. He was born in Winnipeg in 1944 where he resided until 1992 when he moved to the peace and tranquility of St. Andrews where he enjoyed the rest of his life. He was predeceased by his father in 1959. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife and best friend Angela; daughter Gina; son-in-law Rod; son Warren; daughter-in-law Audrey; mother Angela; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie and Joe, Alec and Cecile, Tony and Sheila, Betty and Harold, Jean and Elmer, Helen and Paul, Rose, Kay, Lil, and B.J.; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his furry little friends, Chevy, Sage and Max. Richards passion was cars. In spite of his medical problems, he spent every moment that he could tinkering in the garage. He will be remembered for his wit, humour and gentle ways. His family wishes to express sincere thanks to the St. Andrews Fire Department and First Responders, and Dr. Jeffrey, Dr. Rush, Dr. Green, Dr. Patterson, Dr. Penner, and the doctors and nurses in the ICU and GA4 ward of the Health Sciences Centre. At his request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be on Saturday, March 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Ed Kosa, O.M.I. officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Richard to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8; Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8; or the Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
