Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY LINDSAY McINTOSH Roy passed away quietly at the Swan Valley Lodge on March 21, 2000 at the age of 87 years. He was born on July 24, 1912 at Pilot Mound, MB, and was the son of Richard Tracy McIntosh and Marjorie (nee Birnie). He is survived by one brother, John; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. John McIntosh (Freda), Mrs. Jim McIntosh (Margaret), and Mrs. Robert McIntosh (Rose). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews; James, Jean, Marjorie and Archie of Winnipeg, MB, Mary Anne of Churchbridge, SK, and William of Pilot Mound, MB. He was predeceased by five brothers; Thomas, Hugh, William, Robert and James; two sisters, Mable and Margaret, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Tom McIntosh (Stella). Roy lived most of his life in Minitonas, farming with his father until his fathers death. He then carried on with his mother, and later with his brother John on the home farm. In later years he moved to town and enjoyed good health for a few years until sickness forced him to go to the Lodge in Swan River. Roy was a faithful member of the Knox United Church in Minitonas, and also was a member of the Minitonas Loyal Orange Lodge. He was a very quiet, caring man and always had many friends. Funeral service was held on Friday, March 24, at 2:00 p.m. from the Knox United Church in Minitonas, MB. Reverend Kathy Highmoor officiated. Interment followed the service in the Minitonas Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jim McIntosh, Bill McIntosh, Archie McIntosh, Jack Blair, Allan Staniland, and Chris MacCumber. If friends so desire, memorial donations my be made to a charity of their choice.
