ZOFIA TEICHERT (Nee JASIAKIEWICZ) Zofia Teichert, age 81 years, passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home on March 21, 2000. Zofia was born in Turek, Poland, November 1, 1918 and came to Canada with the family in 1949. She loved her gardening, watching wrestling, attending Holy Ghost Church and helping out at Sokol Hall. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1983. Zofia leaves her son Frank, grand-children; Michelle, Michael and wife Alexis; great-grandchildren Michaela and Evan; sister Jadwiga Bogacz, cousins Bogdan, relatives and friends. The family wish to express their special thanks to the people who helped care and support her during her brief illness. Prayers will be said on Sunday evening, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Rest in Peace, Mom and Babcia, you will be sadly missed. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 586-8044.
