LOUISE ADA ASHMEAD Though cancer may have won the final battle, Louise definitely won the war. Cancer may have taken her body, but never claimed her spirit. "I beat it more times than I was ever supposed to!" Beautifully and gently on March 24, 2000, at the Riverview Health Centre, Louise left this world to start a new adventure. Although she was only 35, Louise left behind so many people who loved her deeply. She is survived by her soul mate Brook, who will miss her more than words can express. Louise also leaves behind her mother-in-law Dianne, sister-in-law Courtney (Len) and her chosen family, Michelle, Jane and James. She is also survived by her parents Robert and Madeleine, and her brother Victor, all of Vegreville, Alta. Louise was looking forward to being reunited in heaven with her sister, Twila Dawn. Louise was an artistic soul, with a talent for writing, drawing and crafts. She was never happier than when showing off her latest creation or when enjoying the antics of her four legged friends, Beagan, Trinje, Claire and Dax. Louise also loved playing her guitar, travelling, fine wine, Star Trek and making people laugh. It was Louises wish that she be cremated. To celebrate her life, a private gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, March 27 at 4:00 p.m. at 5-700 Blantyre Ave. Brook would like to express her heartfelt thanks to Dr. Marr and the nurses and aides at Riverview. Their care and compassion is truly extraordinary. Also, thanks to Dr. Dabrowska, Marlene (VON) and Mary Ashcroft for helping Louise to remain at home for as long as possible. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Louises memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to Riverview Health Centre. "I am not dead. I merely move to other realms. I live in you and wander through your dreams." A.A.F. Love Brook. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler at Henderson
