Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE PIASECKI It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Piasecki on March 25, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. Anne was born to Michael and Jenny Boychuk in Selkirk, MB on June 30, 1916. She married Henry Piasecki in Calgary in November of 1941. They returned to Selkirk where they owned and operated Superior Grocery for ten years. Anne has been a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church since moving to Selkirk in 1946. Anne was an enthusiastic volunteer for the Jemima Social Club and the Knights of Columbus Bingo from 1965 to 1995 until ill health forced her to retire. She was always there early every Tuesday night to make sure everything was ready. Anne also enjoyed many happy times with her family at Nutimik Lake. She was Secretary-Treasurer of Our Lady of the Whiteshell Chapel until her health deteriorated. Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry on December 22, 1992 and leaves surviving her daughter Lorraine; her dear grandsons, Gordon Dehn and Alan (Jacqui), all of Selkirk; a sister Kay Dyn and three nephews, all of Winnipeg. Prayers will be said on Tuesday (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Fuchs and the doctors and nurses of the I.C.U. unit at the Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of ones choice. YESTERDAY Where have you gone since yesterday and left us lonely here; Today you seem so far away Who yesterday was near.
