JOHN NORBERT LANDRY 1918 - 2000 On Sunday, March 26, 2000, John Norbert Landry, beloved husband of Elizabeth, passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 81 years. Besides his loving wife Elizabeth Helen, John leaves to cherish his memory his three children, John J. Landry (Jan) and their two sons, Christopher and Daniel; Renee L. Renner (Carl) and their three children, Carla, John Andrew and Marie; Richard B. Landry (Donna) and their daughter Kaitlynd; three great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Hailey and Sydney Landry. John was born December 24, 1918. He began his career as a projectionist in Regina where he met and married his wife Elizabeth Helen in 1941. He was employed with Canadian Famous Players Theatres for 48 years and was a member of the Motion Picture Projectionist Local 299 (I.A.T.S.E.). John was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 97 for 44 years. He retired at the age of 70 years and enjoyed life to the fullest, never complaining and always welcomed a challenge. He will be dearly missed by his family and all his friends. Prayers for John will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at 8:00 p.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. also in the Church, with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. A private family interment will follow on Friday, March 31 in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Johns memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
