MARGARET ELLEN IVES (NEE REDHEAD) "GRANNY IVES" JANUARY 28, 1889- MARCH 27, 2000 We would like our friends to know that our "Granny" has peacefully passed away in her sleep. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and by her daughter Milby Miller. She leaves to celebrate her life, daughter Vera Ives (Winnipeg), Ron Ives and wife Vivian (Nanaimo, B.C.) son Walter Jess Ives and wife Kathleen (Atlanta, Georgia), and daughter Alice Klassen and husband Bill (Winnipeg) son-in-law Clair Miller, (Penticton, B.C.). Granny also leaves 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Born in Millom Cumbria, England, Margaret immigrated to Canada in 1913, where she met and married Walter Thomas Ives. They resided in Norquay, Saskatchewan for many years before moving to Winnipeg in 1946. She enjoyed gardening and making quilts for her family during later years. Margaret was affectionately known as "Granny" even to those who cared for her at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon, where she resided for the past 15 years. Granny lived for 111 years and touched many hearts during her lifetime. We will miss her. A private funeral service will be held for family members. The family wish to thank the staff of Central Park Lodge, Poseidon for their care and support. Flowers are gratefully declined.
