BLANCHE MORIN (nee FORTIN) Peacefully, at St. Boniface General Hospital, Blanche Morin passed away on March 28, 2000. Blanche was born in Storthoaks, Sask. on October 16, 1908 and lived most of her life on the farm in Mariapolis, Man. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jeanne (Andre) Desrochers of Winnipeg, Irene Poirier of Winnipeg, Adrien (Simone) Morin of New Mexico, Albert (Therese) Morin of St. Malo, Fabiola (Emile) Desaulniers of Morris, Lillian Morin of Lloydminster, Simone (Victor) Desaulniers of Brandon, Madeleine (Joseph) Lundrigan of Edmonton, Diane (Harvie) Laurin of Thunder Bay; Richard (Donna) Morin of Surrey and Raymond (Margaret) Morin of Saskatoon; also by her 45 grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1967 and later by her two sons, Lionel and Antonin; her son-in-law Albert Poirier and her brother Napoleon Fortin. She devoted her life to her family and was always interest in people. Her friendly smile and good nature will always be remembered. She developed hidden talents later in life enjoyed swimming and painting. The family would like to thank the Centre Tache (2B) for providing very good care and a very special thanks to Soeur Champagne for her exceptional kindness to Mom. Funeral services will be held at St. Boniface Cathedral on Saturday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Msgr. Albert Frechette. A funeral mass will also be held on Saturday, April 1, at 4:00 p.m. in Mariapolis, Man., celebrated by Father Michaels and followed by the interment of Blaches cremated remains. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to do so, donations in Blanches memory may be made to the charity of ones choice. Budz Funeral Home, Holland, Man. in care of arrangements, 526-2380.
