IDOLA MARIE DESILETS Peacefully, on March 28, 2000, at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, Man., Idola Desilets passed away at the age of 84 years. Idola was born September 15, 1915 and was raised and educated in Elie, Man. She worked at Canada Car in Fort William, Ont. during the war years. On her return to Winnipeg she worked at Liggetts Drugs, then at The Bay in the cosmetics department until her retirement in 1977. She was predeceased by her parents Hector and Marie-Anne Desilets, her brothers Lionel, Richard and Gilbert, her sister Jeannette Menard, and by one brother-in-law Orval Roy. Idola is survived by two brothers George (Mary) and Hector (Marthe) of Elie; four sisters Therese Roy of Red Rock, Ont., Georgette (Bernard) Bradshaw, Diane (Fred) Picard of Winnipeg, and Rolande (Glen) Foster of Brandon, Man. Also numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Church in Elie, Man. on Friday March 31. Rosary at 1:30 p.m., Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Rite of Committal in the Parish Cemetery, with Father Albert Lafreniere presiding. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
