ROLAND BELLIVEAU On March 24, 2000 at the Health Science Center, Roland Belliveau, passed away at the age of 96 years. Roland was born in 1903 in the Province of Quebec, moving to Camperville as a young man. He married Rose and they were blessed with two sons and a daughter. He became a farmer, but also worked in a general store. In 1941, he joined The Royal Ordinance Corp and served five years and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. After the war, he worked in Winnipeg and moved to the Whitemouth District where he ran a store and filling station. In 1955, he became the Postmaster for the Whitemouth area, retiring in 1968. Roland is survived by daughter Louise Marchuk (Roy) of Broad Valley; sons, Paul (Elsie) of Winnipeg, George (Joan) of Brandon; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Grace in 1981 and his first wife in 1962. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Whitemouth, Man. with Pastor Don Reimer officiating. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the Health Science Center Ward GD3 and to everyone at the Quest Inn, especially Brenda, Sara and Peggy.
