ANNE DADEY (nee NEGRYCH) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Anne Dadey (nee Negrych), aged 71 years, beloved wife of Harry Dadey on March 7, 2000. Anne passed away peacefully after a lengthy heart illness. Anne was born to her parents, Stefan and Mary Negrych on March 9, 1928 in the Kosiw District of Dauphin, MB. One of Annes favourite pastimes was bowling with her friends. She was also very creative and talented with ceramics, sewing, knitting, crocheting and other fine needlework crafts. She always loved anything that gave her a challenge, and succeeded in every challenge from when she was a little girl until the Lord took her to be with Him. "Failure" did not exist in her word book. Anne enjoyed a good game of cards and bingo games with many friends. She loved to joke with friends and had a great sense of humour and quick wit. Her smile and light hearted pranks warmed many a heart and brought out smiles daily. In February of 1952, Anne married Harry Dadey, who now survives her besides her children, daughter Shirley Dadey-Johnson of Winnipeg, Man., son Robert Dadey and wife Kathy of Calgary, AB and son Dennis Dadey and wife Patricia, also of Calgary, AB. Funeral service was held on Friday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul Crossland officiating, in Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel. Interment in Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were Lawrence Dadley, Walter Mychasiw, Brian Dadey, David Showdra, Tony Leonard and Don Ostapowich, whom we owe sincere thanks. All Annes friends, neighbours and close relatives were considered honourary pallbearers. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service had care of all funeral arrangements, with a very special thank you to Vern McKerchar for being so genuine in his assisting and after care to our family. Also, we owe our sincere thanks to Rev. Crossland for taking time to get to know our Dad and family. We know Mom is with the Lord. We also thank Eunice and all staff at Dauphin General Hospital Intensive Care Unit and General Ward who looked after Mom so well. Many thanks to all Moms and our friends, neighbours and relatives who did so very much for us and still continue to support us during our loss. Mom loved and cared for all her dear, dear friends, relatives and neighbours and dearly loved and was very proud of our Dad and all her children. "Mom, you were a great wife, a great mother, a great friend and a grand lady. Thank you Mom for everything, thank you for just being you. Daddy and us kids all love you and we will forever keep you close in our thoughts and hearts."
