MARY PICHURSKI Mary Pichurski passed away peacefully at Innisfail Hospital on March 27, 2000 at the age of 93 years. Mary was a resident of Stonewall, Manitoba, moving to Innisfail five years ago and living at Poplar Grove Lodge. She leaves two children, Ron of Calgary and Joyce Shupenia (Dan) of Innisfail; two sisters, Sophie Kawchuk of Calgary and Olga Fijal of Kitchener, Ontario; one brother Merron Magalas (Jean) of Hamilton, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Ida Magalas, West St. Paul, Manitoba and Eva Pichurski of Winnipeg. She also leaves five grandchildren, Ken Shupenia (Nicola) of Penhold, Alberta, Karen Shupenia of California, Kevin Shupenia of Dewinton, Alberta, Lori Pichurski and Lisa Pichurski of Calgary, plus many nieces and nephews around Winnipeg areas. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1970 and brothers Jack and Bill; three sisters, Josephine, Elsie and Stephanie. Mary grew up in the West St. Paul area of Manitoba, then farmed in Stonewall until about ten years ago, moving to Stonewall Lions Manor for five years, then to Innisfail to be near her children. She was a spunky lady and enjoyed going out, meeting people, music and having company. She was everybodys friend. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall (391 Main Street). Rev Father Stan Gacek will officiate. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
