Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE DONALD March 14, 1917 - March 30, 2000 Peacefully, at her residence, on March 30, 2000, Rose Donald, age 83 years of Selkirk, MB. Left to forever cherish Roses memory are her five daughters, Leona (Cliff), Verna, Gertrude (Roddy), Anne (Don) and Margaret and her sons, Alvin, Bill and Marvin (Chris). Rose also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rose was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1976 along with her daughters, Irene Laye in 1977 and Arvadell Donald in 1994. One granddaughter Andrea Laye in 1998 and two sons-in-law, Andy St. Jean and Edward Laye. Three sisters, Edna Heilman, Mabel Simoneau, Isabel Williams and two brothers, Stuart Linklater and Roy Linklater. Always first in Moms life was her family, ready to help out in any way she could. Moms one real enjoyment was playing bingo and she had many bingo pals that will miss her. Prayers will be said on Monday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Cremation to follow service with interment of ashes at a later date. Roses pallbearers will be Alvin, Bill and Marvin Donald, Don Joly, Roddy Traverse and Billy Chartier. Mother God gave us a precious gift A gift beyond compare He gave us a gracious Mother of love and tender care. Well miss you Mom and Grandma. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
