Date of Passing: Mar 30, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUBY LAMBERT (nee GRUNWALD) December 22, 1931- March 30, 2000 Sadly, it is with relief, after a long suffered illness weannounce the calling of our mother, grandmother from this earth to the arms of God. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Donna (Gene), Colleen (Gary), Cherylle (Ed), Charlene (Guy), her son Russell (Barb) and is sadly missed by her grandchildren, Karl, Bradley, Dusty, Audrey, Jennifer, Troy, Wendy, Rachel, Nicholas and Jessica and six great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her mother Sara Grunwald, her two children Kenneth Paul Jr., Angela Marie and grandson James. Ruby was born in Winnipeg and spent most of her life here. In the early years of her career she worked in the Accounting Department of Winnipeg Supply and later in Palliative Care. She is remembered as a loving, caring, fun loving person with broad interests; but always an avid reader with a particular penchant for history and world religions; and a lover of the outdoors and the beauty of nature which she shared through her short stories. What was most outstanding, though, was her faith in God and the joy she took in sharing this with others with her gentle guidance and her music and song. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered. "May you Rest in Peace, Mom" We wish to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the staff and Doctors that cared for our mother, but especially those on 3U2 of Seven Oaks Hospital for the kind and tender care they provided our loved one. Pallbearers will be close friends of the family. Funeral service will be held on April 3, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel with Deacon Frank Conway officiating. Internment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Viewing will be held April 2, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 586-8044.
