MME CHEONG SIEW LIN It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and friend Cheong Siew Lin. Mme Cheong was born in Selangor, Malaysia in 1908. She was educated at universities in China and Japan. She had a long and fulfilling career as an educator in Singapore. She died in Winnipeg, Man. on March 29, 2000. Mme Cheong Siew Lin was predeceased by her infant son Yat Sun and more recently by her beloved husband Kien Lim in 1984. She is survived by her three sons, Charles, Tim and David and his wife Lucinda, and three daughters, Maggie and husband Allan Leong, Lily and Madeline Lim. Beloved grandsons are Teng Young Leong and Mark Lim. There will be a Funeral Service to honor Cheong Siew Lins memory at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, at the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., Winnipeg, Man. with the Reverend Donald Engel Presiding.
